René Pérez, Residente Calle 13 assembly will be the host of MTV Awards 2009 to be held Oct. 15 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles
Yesterday a rumor spread that Puerto Rican band Calle 13 had confirmed their participation at the "Peace Without Borders", organized by the Colombian singer Juanes on 20 September in the Plaza of the Revolution in Cuba.
However, the group's spokesperson said that René Pérez and Eduardo Cabra have not yet decided whether to be part of the event which has created controversy among Cuban exile.
In a telephone interview from Miami, Shirley Rodriguez, Calle 13 public relations, said the artists received an invitation from John to act in the show which will also Olga Tanon and Miguel Bosé, among other Latin music figures.
However, "Resident" and "Visitor" has not given an affirmative answer because the concert date coincides with other commitments in your calendar.
"This week we are in Argentina and the same day (September 20) we have scheduled a concert in the Dominican Republic. The boys are interested in, everything will depend that they can move those dates, so we can not confirm anything yet, "Rodriguez said.
Members of Calle 13 were traveling in Spain yesterday en route to Mexico, where tomorrow will give a concert in Veracruz. From there they will continue their tour in Bogotá, Colombia.
