1 .- The result of this opinion poll evidence certain trends or political orientations of Chileans living in abroad, with a clear majority of center, 54.3% (Bachelet). 23.6% of the left (Hirsch) and right (Pinera and Lavin), with 22.1%. This contrasts with the presidential election in Chile, where the center received 45.95% (Bachelet), left 5.4% (Hirsch) and the right 48.6% (Pinera and Lavin).

6 .- In the runoff election between presidential candidates: Michelle Bachelet and Sebastián Piñera, the Commission for the Defense of Citizens' Rights, will remain intransigent with (the) President (a) Elect (a) in conducting of the proposals presented to us as both candidates policies for Chileans living abroad. Chilean foreign Vote
occasion of elections - presidential and Parliamentary - December 11, 2005 in Chile, and the impossibility of Chileans living abroad to express their will of citizens, organizations abroad, organizing a civic day consisting of a symbolic choice of presidential candidates Chile, electoral exercise serve as the Chilean community abroad, to a future in the full implementation of the principles of participatory democracy.

FedACH proposals the presidential candidates in Chile

1 .- Rights Civil and Political Rights: Citizenship and Participation

a) Region XIV .- The Government is submitting to Congress, draft creation of two new regions in the country: Arica and Valdivia. All indications, then, that the numerical designation "or Fourteen Fourteenth Region" to refer to Chilean population living abroad, will be in force once created those or other regions. f) Suffrage .- Automatic enrollment, voluntary voting. Change the binomial system, by a proportional basis. / Vote in Chile from abroad for presidential and parliamentary elections (see point a): Region XIV).

g) Integration .- Participation and assistance in regional integration projects, such as border crossing clearance, channels bioceanic, South Trans-Andean Railway. Participation of regional representatives of the residents of the Border Committees.

h) MERCOSUR .- Creation of a forum of organizations Chilean residents of MERCOSUR, to coordinate and disseminate advances in the social, political, legal, cultural, etc., That follow the processes of integration of countries members, and relevant to the Chilean migration.


2 .- Social and Cultural Rights

a) Bilateral .- Review and enforcement of the bilateral (Chile - Argentina) health, work and welfare.

b) Senior Pension .- Project (bilateral) Chilean workers pension residents, seniors, non-contributory pension or insufficient.

c) social assistance plan .- For Chilean / as unemployed, widow / o, female heads of household, the sick or extreme poverty. Aid application assistance in their towns or regions of origin, prior social report prepared by the Chilean Consulate in your jurisdiction.
