For the first time in its history, the MTV Awards will be broadcast from multiple cities in America.
Although the ceremony will be held in Los Angeles, California, will also include multiple segments from the capital of Mexico, Argentina and Colombia, said the record label Sony in a statement.
Awards will be Oct. 15 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, where Rene Perez, "Resident" in the Puerto Rican group Calle 13, share the entertainment with Canadian singer Nelly Furtado.
But "Resident" will not only encourage the night, also takes place a premium on a new category called MTV Tr3s Best New Artist.
Meanwhile, the Puerto Rican band Da'Zoo was nominated in the newly created category of Best New Artist MTV Tr3s.
The two new awards represent MTV Tr3s, American channel for a Latin audience that is estimated to reach 37 million homes.
