The current electoral law does not allow the Chileans living abroad vote in our consulates, as they do most of the nationals of neighboring countries.
As you are aware, the Chilean population living abroad is higher than the 857,000 people, of which over 430,000 live enArgentina. However, for reasons of proximity, about 40,000 of them are voters living in Argentina, able to travel to vote in Chile, in December.
is our commitment as an institution which oversees the civil rights of Chileans living in this country, disseminating information that you give us, in the most comprehensive and pedagogical possible reason that those 40,000 citizens - more than our family Chile - that somehow represent us in December by one vote / call candidate who is really committed Presidential / a with the working document attached. Also for candidates for deputies and senators.
We think a reasonable time to receive your response, Monday 31 of October, giving us a period of 40 days (until the December elections) to fulfill our outreach campaign. In this vein, we will send the comparative table will spread, with proposals of the other presidential candidates.
